For owner Maria Richards, Hair Obsessions, located in Port Richey, is the realization of a life-long dream. Richards, who moved to the Tampa area in 2004, said she has wanted to be a hair stylist since age five. Hair Obsessions, a full-service Paul Mitchell Signature Salon, has been in operation for 30 years. Since taking over as its third owner 14 years ago, Richards has seen the business continue to grow and expand.
Richards said the move has enabled her and her staff to provide an even broader range of high quality services to current and new customers alike. The new salon, which was designed and built by Richard's husband, Colby, features six hair stations, as well as a make-up station and open color bar. At Hair Obsessions, Richards leads a staff of five stylists who offer treatments including coloring and highlights, Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Wild Ginger treatment.
Richards said that the salon strives to give clients exactly what they're looking for and welcomes bridal groups and parties.
